Also required

Not registry lookups; ezOIG doesn't run these
  • Fingerprint-based OSBI and FBI check through OK-SCREEN for nurse aides, nontechnical services workers and other direct-access staff (63 O.S. §§ 1-1947(I), 1-1950.1, 1-1950.8)
  • Nurse aides: seek information from every other state's nurse aide registry the facility believes holds information on the individual (42 CFR 483.35(d)(5))
  • Nurse aide in a training program within 120 days; retraining after 24 months without paid nursing work (OAC 310:675-13-5(g)(1); 42 CFR 483.35(d)(6))
  • Health examination with tuberculosis test within 30 days of employment (OAC 310:675-7-18.1(4))

Why some registries are not screened yet

The registry blocks automated access
The registry's website turns away automated lookups. We don't work around that, so for now your staff search it themselves.
The registry's terms forbid automated searches
The registry's terms, or the law behind it, rule out automated or third-party searches, so ezOIG doesn't run them.

Guidance, not legal advice

This page summarizes ezOIG's research into Oklahoma's rules for this program, checked against the regulations as of October 16, 2026. Rules change, and an agency's own contract or license can add to them. Confirm what applies to you with Oklahoma Health Care Authority (SoonerCare) or your own counsel before relying on it.
