Also required

Not registry lookups; ezOIG doesn't run these
  • OKDHS verifies no conviction for a crime defined in 63 O.S. § 1-1950 et seq. before the agreement (Self-Directed Services and Support Individual Provider Agreement § 2.2(b)(v))
  • Verifiable identification, verifiable work history or references, age 18 or over, and competence shown to the member (same agreement, § 2.2(b)(i)-(iv))
  • The financial management service obtains criminal and abuse registry background checks on prospective PSA or APSA hires on the member/employer’s behalf (OAC 317:30-5-763(15)(D)(iii))

Why some registries are not screened yet

The registry blocks automated access
The registry's website turns away automated lookups. We don't work around that, so for now your staff search it themselves.
Requires an employer account
Searches go through the employer's own account with the agency, so ezOIG doesn't run them for you.

Guidance, not legal advice

This page summarizes ezOIG's research into Oklahoma's rules for this program, checked against the regulations as of October 16, 2026. Rules change, and an agency's own contract or license can add to them. Confirm what applies to you with Oklahoma Health Care Authority (SoonerCare) or your own counsel before relying on it.
