Also required
Not registry lookups; ezOIG doesn't run these- Criminal background check on all employees with direct patient contact or access to patient records, meeting the nurse aide criteria in 63 O.S. § 1-1950.1; contracts must require the same of contracted staff (OAC 310:661-3-2(n); 42 CFR 418.114(d))
- Fingerprint-based OSBI and FBI check through OK-SCREEN after the registry screening (63 O.S. § 1-1947(I))
- Hospice aide training and competency evaluation (42 CFR 418.76)
Why some registries are not screened yet
- The registry blocks automated access
- The registry's website turns away automated lookups. We don't work around that, so for now your staff search it themselves.
- The registry's terms forbid automated searches
- The registry's terms, or the law behind it, rule out automated or third-party searches, so ezOIG doesn't run them.
Guidance, not legal advice
This page summarizes ezOIG's research into Oklahoma's rules for this program, checked against the regulations as of October 16, 2026. Rules change, and an agency's own contract or license can add to them. Confirm what applies to you with Oklahoma Health Care Authority (SoonerCare) or your own counsel before relying on it.

Choose this program when you set up your organization, and ezOIG runs the registries it screens on your schedule.
