Also required
Not registry lookups; ezOIG doesn't run these- Fingerprint-based CBI and FBI check of each owner, manager and administrator at licensure or change (C.R.S. 25-27.5-106(3))
- Personnel records with references, dates of employment and reason for separation (6 CCR 1011-1 Chapter 26, § 5.9(B))
- Weekly in-home supervision of an aide awaiting certification for the first month, then every two weeks (Chapter 26, § 6.13(B))

Why some registries are not screened yet
- The registry blocks automated access
- The registry's website turns away automated lookups. We don't work around that, so for now your staff search it themselves.
- The registry's terms forbid automated searches
- The registry's terms, or the law behind it, rule out automated or third-party searches, so ezOIG doesn't run them.
- Requires an employer account
- Searches go through the employer's own account with the agency, so ezOIG doesn't run them for you.
Guidance, not legal advice
This page summarizes ezOIG's research into Colorado's rules for this program, checked against the regulations as of October 15, 2026. Rules change, and an agency's own contract or license can add to them. Confirm what applies to you with Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (Health First Colorado) or your own counsel before relying on it.
