Consumer-Directed Community Supports (SDCS and FDCS)
Support brokers and paid community support workers under the Consumer-Directed Community Supports option: hired by adults on the DD waiver (SDCS) and by families of children on the Children's HCBS State Plan Option (FDCS). Not registry lookups; ezOIG doesn't run these- IDHW Background Check Unit fingerprint-based clearance for support brokers before employment (IDAPA 16.03.26.003.04.l, 811.01.b) and for community support workers unless the participant waives it on the Department form the support broker completes (IDAPA 16.03.26.003.04.d, 811.03.h, 816.01.a)
- Current state licence or certification where a support requires one (IDAPA 16.03.26.816.01.c)
- Support brokers pass the Department exam and complete 12 hours of training a year (IDAPA 16.03.26.810)
Why some registries are not screened yet
- The registry's terms forbid automated searches
- The registry's terms, or the law behind it, rule out automated or third-party searches, so ezOIG doesn't run them.
- Checked by request to the agency
- The agency answers a written request or form rather than an online search.
Guidance, not legal advice
This page summarizes ezOIG's research into Idaho's rules for this program, checked against the regulations as of October 16, 2026.
