  • Hiring policies that review the DOJ results and the Background Information Disclosure form F-82064 (F-00180C, § 16)
  • Self-directed workers: background checks substantially similar to Wis. Stat. § 50.065 by the co-employment agency or fiscal employer agent (Family Care contract, Art. VIII.N.5.e)
  • Supportive home care and respite workers: training under DHS P-01602 (Family Care contract, Art. VIII.D.6)

Why some registries are not screened yet

The registry blocks automated access
The registry's website turns away automated lookups. We don't work around that, so for now your staff search it themselves.
The registry's terms forbid automated searches
The registry's terms, or the law behind it, rule out automated or third-party searches, so ezOIG doesn't run them.
Paid access
The agency charges for access, and ezOIG doesn't include it yet.

Guidance, not legal advice

This page summarizes ezOIG's research into Wisconsin's rules for this program, checked against the regulations as of October 16, 2026. Rules change, and an agency's own contract or license can add to them. Confirm what applies to you with Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Division of Medicaid Services (ForwardHealth) or your own counsel before relying on it.
