Expected checks

Also required

Not registry lookups; ezOIG doesn't run these
  • Level 2 fingerprint-based screening, including employment history checks and local criminal records checks, through the Clearinghouse; rescreening every 5 years unless fingerprints are retained (§ 430.0402(1)(a), (4), F.S.)
  • Intermittent volunteers not listed on either database: the provider forwards their information to DOEA, which checks the Clearinghouse (§ 430.0402(2)(c)2., F.S.)

Why some registries are not screened yet

The registry's terms forbid automated searches
The registry's terms, or the law behind it, rule out automated or third-party searches, so ezOIG doesn't run them.

Guidance, not legal advice

This page summarizes ezOIG's research into Florida's rules for this program, checked against the regulations as of October 16, 2026. Rules change, and an agency's own contract or license can add to them. Confirm what applies to you with Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) or your own counsel before relying on it.
